Red Keating

Red Keating’s passion has always been in palliative care. In retirement, he found his way to Hospice Peterborough after a successful 34-year social work career working in the fields of children’s mental health, health care and education. Bestowed with a Master and Bachelor degree in Social Work, and a Bachelor of Arts Philosophy & Sociology, Red works with an interdisciplinary team to provide palliative care and support to individuals diagnosed with a terminal illness and their families. Red’s compassion, sense of humour and capacity to support
people through the toughest of times has served many organizations not just Hospice.  Throughout his careers he has worked with the Tri County Treatment Foster Care Program and Peterborough Regional Health Centre in Palliative Care and Oncology. His esteemed profession also encompassed positions with Fleming College and Trent University where he was a counsellor and Director of Programs.
